Mr. Murr graduated with High Honors and Special Honors from the Plan II Honors Program at the University of Texas in 1992. Mr. Murr went on to earn a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 1995, where he served as Articles Editor for The Review of Litigation and was Regional Champion in the National Mock Trial Competition in 1995. Mr. Murr studied English literature, with a specific focus on English playwrights and the history of their performance, at Brasenose College, Oxford University, in 1990.

Mr. Murr was a Senior Associate at Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. before leaving to join Beirne, Maynard & Parsons, L.L.P., where he subsequently made partner. Prior to beginning his practice, Mr. Murr clerked for the Honorable Frank Maloney on the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.
